Bought a $300 desoldering station from a random eBay seller, lasted 2 weeks before the pump died.
The thing was pulling a vacuum fine for a few days but then started sounding like a blender full of gravel. Has anyone else had luck with any of those budget Chinese stations or should I just save up for a Hakko?

Blender full of gravel" is pretty accurate for those cheap pumps.
