Honestly, I keep seeing people skip the discharge step on microwave oven capacitors and it's going to get someone killed.

Saw a guy at the shop do that once, nearly jumped out of his skin. It's pure laziness.

Watch a guy try to jump his own car without unhooking the cables first. The whole thing started SMOKING and he just stood there staring at it like he was surprised by fire. That's not laziness, that's a whole new level of not paying attention.

That "surprised by fire" look @mark_ward mentioned is a classic. It reminds me of the time my neighbor tried to use a garden hose on a grease fire. He just watched it get worse, hose still spraying, with that same confused stare. Some people just short circuit when things go wrong in a way they didn't picture.
