My uncle told me to always carry a spare 3/8 inch drive ratchet in my back pocket

Honestly, I thought he was just being weird about his old Milwaukee tools. Last Tuesday in Cincinnati, I was stuck in a machine room with a stripped bolt and my main ratchet wouldn't grip. Tbh, that little spare in my pocket was the only thing that got the door panel off before the building manager showed up. Anyone else get saved by a weird piece of advice they almost ignored?

Your uncle is a pocket-sized genius.

Saw a video last week of a guy using a pocket multi-tool to fix a generator in the middle of nowhere. Dude looked like he was 5 foot nothing but had that thing running in ten minutes. Your uncle sounds like that guy but bigger. Size doesn't really matter when you can MacGyver anything with a little gadget.

Wait, my uncle is 6 foot 4 and built like a linebacker. The idea of him being called "pocket-sized" is just wild. He does love those little multi-tools though, always has one on him. I guess the genius part fits because he can fix anything with it. But picturing him as a tiny guy is honestly making me laugh. He would get a kick out of that comment for sure.
