Serious question, has anyone else tried that new Milwaukee inspection camera?
I saw a guy using one on a job in Kansas City to look down a hoistway and thought it was just a gimmick. He let me borrow it for five minutes to check a roller guide on a floor I couldn't reach from the pit. The picture was super clear and it saved us from having to set up a full platform. What other tools have you guys found that actually live up to the hype?

You mentioning the hoistway check is spot on. I felt the same way about those cameras until I had to find a lost 10mm socket behind a control cabinet. I looked like a complete fool waving my phone around with a cheap light before I caved and bought one. The Milwaukee one is stupidly good, but my wallet still hasn't forgiven me.

That Milwaukee camera is no joke, @samk77. I spent a whole hour looking for a dropped terminal screw in a pit before I gave in and got one. It stings at first but man does it save time.

@cooper.drew hit the nail on the head with that half-day shim thing. I did the same dance with a tiny spring clip in a dark mechanical room, wasted two hours before I gave in. Bought the Milwaukee and now I swear by it, best tool I never wanted.

Tell me about it, I wasted half a day looking for a dropped shim before buying mine.
