A client in Boise said my extractions felt rushed and it stuck with me

She told me last month that during her facial, my pressure was fine but the pace felt too fast, like I was just checking a box. I realized I was trying to stick to a strict 60-minute slot and would hurry through that part. Now I block 75 minutes for a basic facial, which lets me slow way down and be more careful. Has anyone else adjusted their timing after getting a note like that?

Wait, you were trying to do extractions in a strict 60-minute facial slot? That's the real shocker here. No wonder it felt rushed, that's basically mission impossible. Good on you for adding more time, that's the only way to do it right without turning into a speed demon.

Absolutely, trying to squeeze everything into a standard slot just sets everyone up for stress. I started blocking out ninety minutes for any facial where extractions are a main focus. It lets me do a proper steam and prep the skin first, so the process is more effective and comfortable for the client. That extra half hour makes all the difference between a rushed job and a treatment that actually gives good results.

Read a blog post that said proper skin prep can double how well extractions work. Your ninety-minute plan sounds like the smart way to actually do that.
