A client told me my extractions were too fast and it made her skin flare up for days

Man, that's rough. I've heard that before from a friend who gets facials. Going too fast can really irritate sensitive skin. It's like the person doing it is rushing and not paying enough attention. That client was right to speak up about it. Her skin reacting for days is a big sign something was off. You gotta listen to that kind of feedback for sure.

But come on, is a few days of redness really that big of a deal? Skin gets mad at all sorts of stuff, like a new laundry soap or bad weather. Maybe the client just had a weird reaction that day. It happens. Not every little thing is the fault of the person doing the facial.

A few days of redness" is actually a pretty big deal when you think about it. If your skin is that reactive for days after, something went wrong during the treatment, not just the client having a random bad day. It's not like a new laundry detergent where you can just switch brands - a facial is something you're paying for and trusting someone with your face.

My last facialist moved her hands way too fast and it felt like sandpaper. I mean, my cheeks were red and tight for almost a week afterward. It really does make a huge difference when they slow down and pay attention.
