Can we talk about the difference a proper double cleanse made for my client with persistent texture?

I had a client for 6 months who kept complaining about rough texture on her cheeks, no matter what we tried. Last month, I finally got her to commit to a full double cleanse routine at home, using a cleansing balm first then a gentle gel. Saw her yesterday and the change is wild, her skin is so much smoother and her serums are actually absorbing now. Has anyone else had a client who just needed that one basic step to finally click?

Yeah, that "serums actually absorbing now" part is so real. I had a guy with the same issue and switching him to an oil cleanser first was the game changer. It's like the basic stuff is basic for a reason.

Tell me about it, I was stubborn about that for way too long lol.

Wait, didn't oil cleansers used to be just for makeup? I always skipped them, but after hearing stuff like what @ben_lewis said, I tried one and my face just feels cleaner. I guess I was wrong to ignore it for so long.
