Had a client come in for a facial last month who insisted her 'all natural' charcoal and lemon juice scrub was better than any professional exfoliant. Her skin was raw and inflamed, like, visibly angry. Took everything in me not to say 'I told you so' after we calmed it down.

But isn't that the point of trying a professional treatment, to get better results than a DIY fail?

Yeah, but what if the pro messes up worse than you did?

Jamieb80 has a point, but a pro messing up is way less likely than your own kitchen disaster.
