Had a client in Seattle have a severe reaction to a new enzyme peel last week
I was doing a facial and she started complaining of intense burning about 2 minutes into the 10-minute processing time, so I immediately neutralized and removed it. Her skin was bright red and hot to the touch for over an hour, even after a cool compress and aloe. What's your emergency protocol for unexpected chemical reactions?

Hold up, TWO MINUTES in and she was already burning like that? That's wild. @margaretramirez I'm with you, this definitely sounds like an allergic reaction more than just a standard chemical sensitivity. Was this peel a new brand or ingredient you hadn't tested on her before? That kind of rapid reaction makes me wonder if there was some cross-contamination or if the pH was way off. You did the right thing pulling it off fast, but an hour of intense redness is no joke.
