I finally listened to that older esthetician about double cleansing

I used to just use one cleanser at the end of the day and thought double cleansing was a gimmick. Then a client with super clogged pores came in last month and I couldn't get her skin clear no matter what I tried. She mentioned her last esthetician in Austin always did two rounds of cleansing and it worked wonders. I tried it on my own face for two weeks and saw way less congestion around my nose. Now I do an oil cleanser first for a full 60 seconds before switching to a gel. Has anyone else seen a big difference after adding that first step?

That line about "super clogged pores" hit home for me. I had the same issue around my nose and chin, just constant little bumps that wouldn't quit no matter what cleanser I tried. Adding that oil cleanser first changed everything after about a week, I swear my skin felt less tight and the little whiteheads just stopped showing up. Stick with it, the 60 second thing really does work for getting that grit to come up.

My friend had the exact same bumps around her chin and they cleared up in like a week after she started.

Hey I hear you on that. It's wild how stubborn congestion can be when you're only cleaning once. I had the same experience with my own skin and those little bumps near the chin just disappearing once I started double cleansing.
