Picked up a trick for lymphatic drainage at a conference in Columbus
I went to the ASCP convention in Columbus last month and sat in on a class about manual lymphatic drainage. The instructor showed us a simple 3 minute routine using light pressure along the jawline and down the neck. I tried it on a client who always complains about puffiness and she saw a real difference after just one session. The key is using barely any pressure, just enough to move the fluid without forcing it. Has anyone else gone to one of these classes and found a new technique that actually works?

Wait, is that really all it takes? I always thought you had to really press down hard on those spots to get things moving, but this makes way more sense now.

Same here, @hugos46. Learned the hard way that lighter pressure and a little patience actually does the trick way better than grinding down on it.

Not sure I agree with you both on this one, @emeryj66. I've tried the light touch method and it just felt like I was wasting time rubbing around without anything actually changing. With some of those stubborn spots, you really do need to put some muscle into it and break through that initial layer before things start loosening up. Otherwise you're just going to sit there forever making no progress.
