It really does help with morning puffiness too. Splashing your face with cold water right after waking up tightens everything up before makeup. I even keep a spray bottle in the fridge for hot days when my skin feels irritated. The temperature shock just stops redness in its tracks better than any cream for me.

What I noticed is it makes my serums and moisturizers work better. When my skin is cold and tight from the water, it seems to just drink up the next layer I put on. My vitamin C serum used to pill sometimes, but on that cooled-down skin it smooths right in without any fuss. It's like it preps the canvas perfectly.

Absolute game changer for my routine too. I splash my face at least ten times with ice cold water from the sink every morning. That tight, awake feeling it gives your skin is like a cup of coffee for your face. Makes my pores look way smaller before I put anything else on.

Gotta be honest, this whole thing feels a bit over the top. It's just water, right? I splash my face with whatever comes out of the tap and my skin seems fine. All this talk about prepping the canvas and stopping redness in its tracks makes it sound like we're performing surgery, not washing our faces. I'm not convinced the temperature makes that big of a difference for product absorption either, that seems like a stretch. Feels like another thing to worry about in a routine that's already complicated enough.
