Used to think LED masks were all hype, then I tried my coworker's after a breakout
I was pretty skeptical about those light therapy masks for months. Figured it was just another expensive gadget that estheticians were pushing. Then my coworker Jen let me borrow hers for a week after I had a nasty breakout on my chin. Three days of red light and the inflammation calmed down way faster than any serum I had tried. Has anyone else found a particular brand that actually holds up after regular cleaning?

Tbh I tried that damp paper towel hack and it felt like I was drowning in my own mask. Ngl it did make my skin look better the next morning though. Honestly I think the cheaper masks work just as well if you're consistent with them. You just gotta wipe them down after every use or they get kinda nasty.

3 minutes of damp paper towel anxiety isn't curing my skin, @the_tessa.

Oh wait, has anyone tried sticking a damp paper towel between the mask and your face while using it? I read that water helps conduct the light better and it actually made a difference for me. Got the idea from a derm's random Instagram post. Not a brand tip sorry, but it's been a game changer for getting more out of the sessions without having to buy a fancier model.
