Had the worst week of my life trying to debunk that 'vanishing hitchhiker' urban legend

I drove out to Old Mill Road last Tuesday night with a voice recorder and a flashlight, hoping to catch some audio proof, but all I got was a flat tire and a speeding ticket from a cop who laughed at me. Has anyone else ever actually tried to investigate one of these ghost stories and just ended up embarrassed?

Hey I get it, I was skeptical too for a long time. What finally worked for me was just trying small things without overthinking it, like keeping a simple gratitude list every night. It felt stupid at first but after a few weeks I noticed I was actually calmer and less angry all the time.
