Had a horse in Kentucky last month that would not stand still for the life of me. What's your go-to trick for a real fidgeter?

Honestly, is it that big a deal? Some horses just have that nervous energy.

Tie a hay net low on the fence. Mine will stand there for ages picking at it.

That would shock me if my horse actually did that! See, maybe that works for a different kind of horse, but mine would panic and probably tear the whole fence down. @susansingh that gelding of yours in Texas sounds like a dream compared to this one. I have to hand feed mine just to keep him from pacing the stall walls. Even then he'll stop mid-bite and start tossing his head at literally nothing.

Nah, just tie him to a fence post and let him learn patience.

My old gelding in Texas was like that, so I'd just hum a tune (badly) while grooming him.
