My wife's offhand remark while I fought a fresh shoe on a young colt flipped my view
I was cussing under my breath trying to get the clinches right, and she just said 'He doesn't know you're mad at him'. It HIT me that the animal was picking up on my frustration way more than any mistake with the nails. Do you guys ever notice a person's calmness being the real tool in the shop?

Learned that one after a few kicked walls.

That feeling when you stub your toe and see stars. My coffee table has claimed more victims than I can count. Still haven't learned my lesson about walking in the dark.

Actually, I've found the opposite to be true. My brain learned pretty quick after a few bad stubs, like what happened with @the_fiona. Now I just shuffle my feet at night and it works.

Actually, shuffling your feet is what causes most toe stubs in the dark.
