Update: I spent $800 on a digital hoof mapping system last year
Honestly, everyone was raving about how it would change my trimming, but it just sits in my truck. The software is slow and the readings feel off on uneven ground. I went back to my trusty calipers and eye in under a month. Has anyone else tried one of these and actually made it work for their daily jobs?

Maybe you just needed a flatter spot to set it up? I saw river952 sold his, but mine's been a game changer for my tricky laminitis cases.

Just sold mine on Craigslist last week.

Totally get why @river952 sold theirs, that setup can be a pain. I had the same issue with mine until I tried a different pad under the unit. Used a cheap rubber stall mat cut to size and it made all the difference, no more wobble on uneven ground. The key was getting the base completely level before even turning it on. Now it works like a charm every single time. Honestly saved me from selling mine too.

Wait, you actually sold it? On Craigslist of all places? Man, that's wild to me. I mean I get it if nothing else worked but reading what Kaigibson said about the stall mat trick makes me wonder if you ever tried that before letting it go. Those things can be so finicky but once you get the ground right they're solid as a rock. Just seems like a lot of effort to go through listing it and meeting a stranger for something that might've been a simple fix.
