Had to choose between using a 4-foot level or just eyeballing it on a tricky slope job in Phoenix last Tuesday.
I went with the level, but the client's dog kept trying to bury his favorite chew toy right where I was setting each post, so every measurement took twice as long.

Ugh, that's the universal law of pets right there. They always find the exact worst spot to "help" with your work.

Hold up, are we sure they're not actually helping? That warm laptop spot is prime real estate, so they're just doing smart space management. Maybe our work is the real problem getting in their way.

Remember when laptops got super hot? My old cat would always park right on the keyboard the second it warmed up. Tbh, you'd be typing and suddenly get a line of 'mmmmmmmmm' across your document. Had to gently shove a warm blanket next to it as a decoy.
