Flipped the switch on my DIY solar setup and it worked first try
After three months of piecing together panels and a charge controller from eBay finds, I finally got my little shed setup to power my shop's security lights. Plugged in a 100 watt panel and a cheap PWM controller and the battery hit full charge by noon yesterday. Anyone else have a small project like this turn out smoother than you expected?

Did you just wing the wiring or actually follow a schematic for that setup?

Honestly that's such a good feeling when it all just works like that. Ngl I had a similar thing with a little portable battery pack I built for camping, figured it would be a mess but it charged my phone like a champ the first time.

My 12v battery setup for my small trailer had me worried for weeks, but the first time I plugged in my laptop and it charged without issue I felt like a genius. It's funny how these little projects can either be a total headache or just work perfectly on the first try, @diana_kim66. The satisfaction of a clean build that actually does what it's supposed to is hard to beat.
