Got fired for a tweet about my boss's bad parking job

So last month I posted a pic of my manager's truck taking up two spaces in the lot with a caption like "wish I had this much confidence" and someone from HR saw it. I didn't even tag the company or use their name, just a random complaint about bad parking. The next day I got called into a meeting where they said it violated the social media policy because I mentioned the store location in my profile. I lost a $15 an hour job over a joke about parking. The worst part is the manager still parks like a jerk and keeps his job. Has anyone else gotten in trouble for something that minor on social media?

Wonder if @charles640 ever thought about how companies use vague policies to fire people they already wanted gone.

Man, did they actually show you the exact policy you broke?

Hearing they wouldn't even show you the exact policy is wild lol. That's such a shady move, like they know it's weak and don't want you poking holes in it. Honestly makes me think they just didn't want you around and used that as their excuse.

@charles640 Nah they never did. Just said "violation of social media policy" and that was it. Real vague stuff. No specifics, no nothing. Makes you wonder what they're actually trying to hide. Classic move to keep you in the dark so you can't fight back.
