My friend said to keep my Twitter private after work, but I argued it was my personal account and got suspended from my clinic for a meme about a patient's 'impossible' plaque.

Has anyone else been fired over something that was clearly a joke but got taken the wrong way, and do you think a 3-day suspension without pay would have been fairer?

Ever notice how the world lost its ability to tell a joke from a legal document? Getting fired over a meme seems like the clinic chose the nuclear option for a minor offense.

Watched it happen in my own neighborhood group. Someone posted a silly, harmless joke about the HOA rules, and the next day they got a formal letter threatening a fine. It feels like we've traded common sense for a rulebook, and everyone's just waiting to be offended.

Yeah, emery290, I once got a talking-to for a chart note that read like a bad joke.
