My old tweet from 2017 just hit 10,000 views, and my stomach dropped thinking about my boss seeing it.

Feel that pit in your stomach every time a memory pops up on social media. It's like we're all building these permanent records of our dumbest moments without meaning to. The real problem is how everything we post gets frozen in time, but we're supposed to keep changing as people. Makes you want to just delete the whole internet sometimes.

Honestly your boss probably doesn't care... @shane_hayes is right that it's all frozen in time, but who even looks that far back?

Wait what. Frozen in time? That's terrifying. My old posts from high school are still out there. Cringe stuff I forgot about. Makes my skin crawl.

Man that whole frozen in time thing hits hard. I was just reading about how our brains actually forget stuff on purpose to help us move on, but the internet never does that for us. It's wild to think about, like @angelaw78 said most people won't dig that deep, but it's still out there waiting. Really makes you second guess posting anything at all, you know? Feels like we're all just stacking up evidence against our future selves.
