That week I had perfect weather for 5 straight days in Portland completely flipped my opinion on rain

I used to complain every time it drizzled, but after a whole week of 75 and sunny I actually found myself missing how green everything gets and even the cozy feeling of hearing rain on the roof, so now I'm the weirdo who hopes for clouds when I look at the forecast - has anyone else ever changed their mind about a whole climate after a weirdly perfect week?

Nah, I gotta push back on this one a bit. I've lived in places where it rains a ton and the coziness wears off real fast when you're dealing with damp socks and moldy baseboards every single day. A week of perfect weather is a nice break for sure, but it doesn't make me miss the constant drizzle that messes up my commute or makes my hair frizz. I'll take a sunny forecast over that cozy roof sound any day, just saying.

Rain makes the coziness dial go way up.

But is it the rain itself that's cozy, or just the excuse to stay inside with a blanket and a good cup of coffee? I mean, if you were stuck in that drizzle for a week with no way to dry off, would the sound on the roof still hit the same? Seems like the coziness depends more on what you're escaping from than the actual weather, right?
