Just saw a video claiming the horizon always rises to eye level no matter how high you go and I'm honestly rethinking everything

I was watching a live stream from a high altitude balloon yesterday and the horizon line stayed exactly level with the camera the whole way up, which directly contradicts what I was taught about curvature, so has anyone else seen this and actually looked into the math behind it?

Get a cheap laser pointer and try it on a lake or long flat road yourself. Way more convincing than watching someone else's video online.

That "straight line over water" claim doesn't account for refraction bending the laser.

Have you tried looking up some of the flat earth experiments where they use a laser over a lake? It's wild how they show a straight line over miles of water.
