Had a plank in a Phoenix condo decide to become a trampoline

Installing some engineered hardwood last Tuesday, and one board in the middle of the room just wouldn't stay down. It was a 5-foot piece from a box of Bellawood, and every time I walked away, it would pop back up with an audible click. I ended up using almost a full tube of PL400 and a stack of encyclopedias as a weight overnight. Anyone else have a board with a mind of its own?

Oh man, a heavy toolbox on mine finally did the trick.

My brother's old truck needed a cinder block in the bed just to stop the shaking. Some vehicles just have a weird sense of humor, I guess. Glad you found your own heavy fix.

Sounds like a real diva. @murray.cora, at least your brother's truck just needed a parking brake.

Hey, is it really that stubborn or could the subfloor have a dip right there? I've seen boards act like that when there's zero pressure under the locking mechanism.
