Ngl, my brand new oscillating tool blade snapped cutting under a door jamb in Denver yesterday

Tbh, it was a 3-inch carbide grit blade and it just sheared off, sending a piece flying across the room. Anyone have a tougher blade they actually trust for that kind of trim work?

Snap a brand new blade? Sounds about right. Foster.jordan might be onto something about stuff just being made worse now. Maybe we need blades made out of whatever they used to make tools with.

Yikes, that sounds dangerous. It feels like everything is made a bit thinner and more brittle these days, tools included. I've had decent luck with the Diablo blades for heavy trim, they seem to hold up.

I've snapped two Diablo blades this year on pressure-treated pine.

Yeah, my cousin had a blade shatter like xena_bailey18 mentioned.
