Finally got my first big wedding order after three years in business

Back in 2021, I started my little shop in Spokane and mostly did small bouquets. Last week, a bride came in and booked me for her whole August wedding, a $2,000 order. What's one thing you wish you knew before your first big wedding job?

Three years in business" really hits home. I mean, I wish I knew how much extra ribbon and wire I'd burn through on a big order like that.

How much time did you block off for setup and delivery? My first big one, I only counted the hours to make the pieces, and I was rushing like crazy morning-of because I didn't factor in loading the van and fighting weekend traffic. Pad your schedule way more than you think you need.

Congrats on the big order, that's huge. I get what @annajenkins is saying about supplies, but for me the real shock was how much time the emails and planning took, not just the flowers.
