I used to wire every single stem for a wedding arch, but now I just use chicken wire

For years I'd spend hours wiring each flower into foam for arches, which was a huge pain. Then I saw a florist in Seattle use a big sheet of chicken wire shaped into a tube and zip-tied to the frame. I tried it on a job last spring and it cut my setup time in half, plus the flowers stayed hydrated way better. Has anyone else made a switch like that for large installations?

Honestly, I switched to using chicken wire for all my ceremony backdrops about two years ago. It holds way more water than foam so the greenery doesn't wilt before the vows. Tbh it was a total game changer for summer weddings.

Saw a video where they used that chicken wire trick for big wreaths too.

My friend saw that chicken wire trick for wreaths and tried it, but she said it was a total mess because the wire kept poking through. I mean maybe she just didn't shape it right.
