My delivery van's cooler unit gave out on a 90 degree day

It happened last Tuesday on a run to a wedding venue in Springfield. I had $800 worth of peonies and hydrangeas in the back, and the temp gauge just shot up. Had to pull over, call the venue, and beg them to let me use their walk-in fridge for an hour while I found a rental. Anyone have a good cooler repair guy they trust, or should I just bite the bullet and lease a new van?

My buddy Tony had a similar meltdown with his taco truck fridge last summer. Lost about three hundred bucks worth of carne asada and queso before he even got to the lunch spot. He swears by this guy named Hector who works out of a garage on 7th Street... fixed it for half of what the big shops wanted. Might be worth asking around for a local mechanic like that before you sign a lease.

But have you seen what good flowers cost these days? A big wedding order or a fancy hotel lobby display can hit that price easy. Maybe they had a contract to fill and couldn't just cancel because of the heat. Sometimes in business you eat a loss to keep a good client happy for next time. It's brutal, but it's not always as simple as just moving the flowers inside.
