Vent: I keep seeing florists in my area use the same three roses in every bridal bouquet

I was at a wedding show in Portland last month and looked at work from over a dozen local shops. Almost every single bridal bouquet on display was just a mix of Freedom, Sahara, and Peach Avalanche roses. It makes all the work look the same and ignores so many great seasonal options. Has anyone else noticed this trend getting worse, or is it just my city?

Remember when every cake was just vanilla with buttercream? Feels like that, but with flowers now. I saw a bouquet last week that used thistles and ranunculus, it was so much more interesting.

Totally get that. My aunt's garden is full of weird plants like that now, stuff I'd never think to put in a vase. It makes the normal roses look pretty boring in comparison.

Read about using artichokes in arrangements.
