I finally checked the 'no sugar added' juice at my kid's school cafeteria
They had these little juice boxes with a big 'no sugar added' label. Looked at the ingredients. First thing listed was white grape juice concentrate. That's just sugar with extra steps. One box had 24 grams of sugar total. That's like 6 teaspoons. The label makes you think it's a healthy choice. It's not. What other 'health' labels are just total tricks for parents?

Ugh, what about "all natural"? That one's basically meaningless. "Made with real fruit" is another sneaky one, it can be like 2% fruit and the rest sugar water.

My aunt only buys "all natural" peanut butter and was shocked to learn the main ingredient was still sugar. These labels seem designed to trick people who are just trying to make better choices. It's a pretty clever marketing trap.

Remember when "light" olive oil just meant they added cheap vegetable oil?

It's exhausting having to decode every single label like some kind of detective. These companies know exactly what they're doing and it's just not fair to people who are genuinely trying to eat better.
