Just realized my 'all natural' granola bars are basically candy bars
I bought a box of Nature's Promise granola bars because the front label said 'all natural' and 'good source of fiber'. Checked the back and the second ingredient is brown sugar syrup, with 12 grams of added sugar per bar! That's almost a third of the daily limit. I've been eating these for breakfast for months thinking I was being healthy. Has anyone else found a truly low-sugar granola bar that doesn't taste like cardboard?

Ugh, my friend had the same shock with her "protein" bars. Honestly, most of them are just candy in disguise.

That "protein" label is basically a legal loophole.

Check the nutrition facts, they still list the grams.
