Looking back at how my aunt swore by 'all natural' labels

My aunt used to buy everything labeled 'all natural' for family dinners. She'd say it was healthier, and we all went along with it. Now I read those same labels and see they don't mean much. It makes me think about how easy it was to trust claims back then. I'm more careful now, especially with my own kids.

I used to think "all natural" meant something too, until I realized it could describe anything from kale to cheese puffs. Right there with you and @stone.river on that learning curve.

My aunt fell for that too.

Actually, have to disagree a bit. My rule is if it comes from the earth, it counts. Like @murray.cora said, sure, cheese puffs are processed. But the corn started somewhere real. The organic section at my store is my go-to for a reason. Feels different than the middle aisles full of boxes.

So you only trust the organic section? What about the organic snacks that are still just junk food in a green box?
