Trying to read those labels is a full time job. I once bought "low carb" bread that had more carbs per slice than my kid's gummy snacks. The front of the box just lies to your face while the tiny print on the back tells the sad truth. I'm starting to believe they just put whatever words will make us grab it off the shelf. My grocery cart is a monument to my bad decisions.
Check the nutrition label for total carbs, not just the sugar line. Sugar alcohols and fiber still count as carbs on that line, which can be confusing. You basically have to ignore the front of the package and just read the fine print.
