Seeing my mom buy 'natural' peanut butter changed my opinion

I always rolled my eyes when she grabbed the 'natural' jar, thinking it was a marketing trick. But I finally compared labels, and the regular one had hydrogenated oils and added sugar. The natural version listed only peanuts and a bit of salt. It made me see that sometimes, the claim can point to simpler ingredients, even if the word itself is loose.

How many other labels are actually telling the truth?

Seriously makes you wonder what else is just straight up marketing.

Is it just me or are we all spending half our time trying to figure out what's real now? The line between honest stuff and advertising feels totally gone.

Feel like it's been that way for a while though. The ads just got better at hiding.
