Can we talk about how financial talk was more open before social media moderation?

It feels like you could once share real numbers and strategies anywhere, but now big platforms shut down those chats fast. Some say the rules keep things safe, while others think it just hides key info from regular people. Where do you stand on old forums versus new apps for money talk?

Wasn't there a time when you could find full details on how people handled their money online? I remember a thread on an old forum where someone shared their whole plan for saving for later years, with all the numbers. It was rough but real. Now on big apps, that kind of post would likely be removed for giving 'money advice'. It makes me think we're losing the honest talks that actually helped folks. The rules may keep things safe, but they also cover up the true stories that teach us.

It's a shame those raw money talks are disappearing under all the rules.

Miss the raw forum chats. New apps feel too sterile now.

Yeah, @lunah12 really nailed it. Those old threads were like getting real help from a friend, not some polished advice. Now the rules just make everyone talk in vague terms, which doesn't help anyone learn.
