Just saw my crypto wallet hit a number I wrote off years ago

It was $500, a round figure I'd mocked as impossible back in 2018 when everything was getting deplatformed. Hitting it now, after sticking with projects that value open code and communication, feels like a quiet win for sticking to principle. Anyone else have a small, stubborn milestone that finally came through?

Hitting that old target must feel pretty good. I had a similar thing with a tiny bag of some old coin finally crossing a hundred bucks. It's not life changing money, but it proves the point, doesn't it? Sticking with the transparent projects when everyone else was chasing hype.

What specific projects did you stick with that made you feel good about the open code part? I'm always looking for stuff that actually tries to build things the right way.

Oh man, my buddy stuck with this one project building tools for small online shops. He loved that you could actually follow the money flow in the code, no black boxes. It was slow going for years, but now it's the core of a real system people use every day. That kind of honest build feels rare.
