My client paid me in crypto last week and it got me thinking about the whole 'free speech money' thing.
I mean, it was super fast and they said it was about keeping things private, which I get. But then I had to figure out how to actually spend it, which was a whole thing. Is the freedom worth the extra hassle, or is it just for tech people?

Oh, the freedom. I spent an hour trying to buy a pizza and ended up just transferring it back to real money for a fee. Felt less like a rebel and more like someone who'd lost a board game.

Honestly, does every new tech promise freedom but just adds more steps? Tbh I see it with smart home stuff too. You buy a light bulb that needs an app, a hub, and a login, just to turn it on. Feels like we're solving problems that didn't exist.
