Shoutout to the small bank in Spokane that let me post about crypto without taking it down

Last month I posted a link to a Bitcoin article on their community forum, and instead of deleting it like the big banks do, they actually left it up with a note saying they support open talk. I've had three other accounts shut down just for mentioning crypto, so this felt like a real win. Has anyone else found a bank or credit union that doesn't censor financial talk?

That's awesome to hear. My local credit union in Boise is the same way. They have a board where people can post anything money related. Posted about a DeFi project last year and got a real reply from a manager, not a takedown notice. Makes you want to actually bank there. Big banks just shut it all down without a word.

Big banks aren't shutting things down because they hate innovation. They shut things down because they have federal regulations to follow and billions in liability if something goes wrong. Your credit union manager gave you a personal reply because he doesn't have a compliance department breathing down his neck. That's nice for you, but it also means if that DeFi project you posted about goes south and someone loses money, that credit union has way less protection than Chase or Wells Fargo. Smaller places can afford to be casual because they're not being watched by every regulator in the country. I'd rather have a bank that plays it safe with my money than one that lets people post about unregulated projects on their community board.

Honestly saw a post on another forum about a credit union in Austin doing the same thing. They have a whole section for new tech and crypto talk. Tbh it seems like the smaller places get that people want to talk about this stuff without getting banned.
