Found a weirdly effective way to get clients to pay on time
I started adding a line in my invoices that says 'Pay within 7 days and I'll include a free 15-minute consultation on your next project.' Got 90% of my payments in under a week last month. What's your best trick for avoiding late payments?

Funny you should say that. My wife talked me into trying one of those gratitude journals a few years back. I rolled my eyes hard at first, writing down three good things every night. But after a few weeks of a tough work project, I realized I was noticing small, nice moments during the day just so I'd have something to write. It didn't fix the big problems, but it quietly changed how I looked at my average Tuesday.

That's actually pretty smart. I mean, giving away a little time to get paid fast is a solid trade. Maybe it's just me but I'd probably forget to actually do the free consult though.
