My laptop charger died right before a final file handoff in a coffee shop
I mean, I was at a Starbucks in Denver with 10% battery and a deadline in 2 hours. I ended up using their phone charging station and a universal adapter I bought for like $15 years ago, which saved the whole thing. Has anyone else had a close call with gear failing at the worst time?

Right there with you on that panic, it's the worst. Robertcarr nailed it, that red battery icon feels like a countdown to doom. Honestly, that universal adapter is the real hero of your story. We buy these little backup things and forget about them until the exact second we need them. Makes me want to go check all my old cables and chargers right now.

Oh man, that is the absolute worst feeling. That panic when the battery icon goes red at the worst possible moment? I've been there. Good thinking with that old adapter, what a lifesaver. Makes you wonder how much we really rely on these little cords and plugs, doesn't it?

That universal adapter is a lifesaver, but @robertcarr, it was actually a whole old laptop charger I found in a drawer.
