Question about switching from gas to electric lawn mowers

I used to mow my lawn every Saturday with my old gas mower until I got a $80 ticket for noise at 9am last June. Now I use a corded electric one from Harbor Freight and it's way quieter but the cord is a pain. Anyone in Fullerton made the switch and found a good battery option?

Same here with the Kobalt 80-volt! I got mine last summer and it's been a game changer for my quarter acre yard. Battery lasts about 45 minutes if the grass is dry and not too thick, but if I let it go a week too long I gotta switch batteries halfway through. I just bought a second battery off eBay for like 40 bucks so now I can mow the whole thing without stopping. The cordless thing is so nice after tripping over that extension cord for years...

The cord is a pain" - oh yeah, I feel that. I switched to a Kobalt 80-volt from Lowe's last year and it handles my yard fine. Just make sure your grass isn't too tall or wet, that drains the battery fast.

Double check your blade sharpness too, a dull blade drags way more and kills my battery time. Ever tried sharpening it yourself or do you take it somewhere?
