Why does no one talk about the parking at Craig Park on weekends

I tried to go for a run there last Saturday around 9am and it took me 15 minutes just to find a spot... people were circling like vultures. The lot near the tennis courts was completely full and the overflow area had like 3 cars blocking the exit. I ended up parking on a side street and walking half a mile just to get to the trail. Has anyone else had this problem or do I just need to show up at 6am to get in?

Friend of mine showed up to Craig Park last Saturday for a soccer game and gave up after 20 minutes of circling. He ended up parking in the neighborhood across the street and got a warning note on his windshield from some grumpy resident. Now he just bikes there instead, says it's way less stressful.

Honestly @fiona_kim, did your friend ever try the overflow lot past the tennis courts?

Had a friend try to meet me there for a pickup basketball game last month around 10am on a Saturday. He ended up parking in that neighborhood across from the tennis courts, you know the one with the stop sign right at the corner? Came back to a note on his windshield too, real passive aggressive stuff about "private property." @faith_shah88 might know what I'm talking about but yeah he said the overflow lot past the tennis courts was blocked off with cones, no explanation why.
