I had to choose between a spray finish and a hand-rubbed oil for a big walnut table. Went with the oil and it took three full days.

Right? It's a huge chunk of time to set aside. I had to do that last month for a training and it felt like planning a military operation just to clear my schedule. Makes you really weigh if the thing is worth it.
