That projection ignores how many people are moving to smaller cities in the South.

Yeah, I saw that too and it got me thinking. When I moved a few years back, I looked at those big picture stats and they missed the real story on the ground. The smaller towns I checked out were growing fast but the data was always a year behind. How do you even get good numbers on where people are really going?
