I tried to pay cash for a coffee in Seattle and the barista looked confused.

The register didn't even have a drawer, just a card reader, and it made me wonder if we're heading for a completely cashless society faster than anyone predicted. Has your city started to feel like this too?

Come on, it's just coffee. A few places going card-only doesn't mean cash is dead. I still use cash at the barber, the corner store, and for tipping. It feels like people see one weird thing and jump to the biggest conclusion.

Honestly, it's wild. I was at a farmers market last weekend and this guy selling honey only had one of those little square card readers. I had to borrow a five from my friend for the bus home.

Ugh, that's the worst feeling.

Wait, @logan_mitchell, the honey guy didn't even have cash for change?
