My fridge just ordered groceries on its own, and now I'm rethinking everything.
Last week, my smart fridge saw I was out of milk and bought some for me. It was delivered right to my door. I think soon, all our food might come this way without us lifting a finger. How do you see cooking and shopping changing if machines handle it all? Let's talk about what this means for society.

Wow, that's really spooky! I totally get your worry. If machines do all the shopping, we might lose the skill of cooking real meals. It's handy, but it makes food feel less personal.

I get the worry about food feeling less personal, but isn't it just outsourcing the boring parts? We can still cook when it matters.

Last month, my toaster started judging my bread choices. If fridges are shopping for us, next they'll be cooking too. We'll end up with machines that make dinner while we watch, forgetting how to even scramble eggs. It's convenient, sure, but it turns food into a transaction, not something you make. Pretty soon, the only 'cooking' skill left will be pressing buttons on an app. I guess we can all look forward to a future where our biggest kitchen challenge is remembering the wifi password.
