My hunch on how sleep schedules will flip in a digital world.

With screens everywhere, I already struggle to sleep well (honestly, who doesn't?). I'm guessing that future society might adopt split sleep cycles to match global online hours. Do you think we'll ever see laws to limit night-time internet use for health reasons?

And then they'll try to pass the "No Scroll After Midnight" act. Good luck with that! I can already see the sneaky loopholes. "Oh this? This is just my essential melatonin shopping app, officer." We'll all be fake-sleeping while doomscrolling under the blankets. They'd have to pry my phone from my cold, tired hands.

Right? They'll never take my late night wikipedia rabbit holes. Last week I was up until 2am reading about the history of the stapler. The "bedtime mode" on my phone is just a suggestion I swipe away every single night. My screen time report is a horror story they wouldn't believe.

Fake-sleeping while doomscrolling" is a whole mood, I used to think I could just stop.
