Found my old Game Boy Advance SP in a box and the screen still works
I dug it out last weekend and put in a copy of Pokemon Ruby I had from 2003. The battery was dead, but after charging it for a few hours, the whole thing lit right up. It made me realize how much simpler gadgets felt back then, with no updates or apps to worry about. Anyone else have an old piece of tech that just refuses to die?

Watched my buddy pull his original iPod out of a drawer last month. He plugged it in and the hard drive started spinning right up, still had his old playlists from high school on it. That click wheel felt like a tank compared to my phone screen.

The click wheel was perfect for one-handed use, though.

That click wheel was a nightmare for scrolling through big libraries though. Always felt like I was going to wear my thumb out. Give me a touch screen any day, way faster to find what I want. Those old hard drives were a huge weak point too, just waiting to die if you dropped it. The nostalgia is fun, but the tech itself was pretty clunky.
