That week I tried to insulate my garage doors and made everything worse
Last October I spent a whole Saturday putting up those foam board panels on both garage doors. Thought I was being smart cutting down on the cold drafts. By Wednesday the moisture buildup was so bad I had water dripping down the metal tracks. Had to rip it all out and start over with a proper vapor barrier setup. Anyone else tried DIY insulation and ended up with a bigger problem than you started with?

Man, that moisture trap is no joke. I bet you actually made your garage colder by trapping damp air against the metal instead of just letting it breathe.

Man, that's a solid point @sean854. I never even thought about it like that. You might be right that trapping the damp air just makes it sit there against the metal and steal the heat.
I was just so focused on keeping the tools from rusting I didn't even consider the temp aspect. Feels like a lose-lose now, honestly. Pretty frustrating to put in all that work and maybe make things worse. Hope someone figures out a cheap fix for these metal sheds.

Cold and damp, sounds like my ex's heart. But hey, maybe I was just trying to give my garage a built-in spa day. Not working.
